Brian Porter serves as an of-counsel associate attorney for the Walker Law Group. He has practiced law for two decades after attending Morehouse College and earning degrees from Georgia State University, Texas Southern University, and Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Attorney Porter’s practice started at Schneider & Schneider, P.C. in Chicago where he concentrated in personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.

Porter later was a principal in the firm of Tyler & Porter, P.C. before accepting positions as Corporation Counsel for the Harvey Park District, General Counsel for Amalgamated Transit Union Local 241, and an appointment as an Administrative Law Judge in the City of Chicago’s Department of Administrative Hearings.

Attorney Porter has taught introductory legal courses at Prairie State College, has co-authored continuing legal education courses, and is a member of the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court’s e-discovery pilot program. He currently focuses in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation, and contract law.

Porter is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois, and is a general bar member of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, as well as, being both, a general bar member and trial bar member of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Administrative Law Judges.
